A leading financial institution is looking for a Python Automation Analyst to automate recurring reports and data preparation processes. You will work with business users to turn manual reporting workflows into reliable, efficient and accurate automated solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Review existing reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate manual tasks
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to extract, clean, validate and consolidate data from Excel, CSV files and databases
- Automate report generation, reconciliation and recurring data checks
- Work with business users to understand reporting requirements and investigate discrepancies
- Test and troubleshoot scripts to ensure accurate and reliable outputs
- Schedule automated reporting jobs and monitor their performance
- Document code and processes, and provide a clear handover
- Follow data security and access requirements
- Translate business requirements into maintainable, well-structured code
- Propose improvements to reporting accuracy and efficiency

Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data or a related discipline and above
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Python development, data analysis or reporting automation
- Strong Python coding skills, particularly data manipulation with pandas and Excel automation with openpyxl
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience handling Excel-based reports
- Ability to translate business requirements into working code
- Familiarity with Git, error handling and logging is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Experience in banking or financial services is preferred
