About the Role
As a Senior Executive in Procurement at ST Engineering Management Services Pte. Ltd, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on optimising procurement processes within the Ops Procurement department, specifically concerning Operations Procurement for Land Vehicles. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality products and services while driving cost efficiencies and maintaining strong supplier relationships. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders to develop procurement strategies that support our organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals, ensuring value for money and quality standards are met.
Manage vendor relationships, conducting assessments and negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, ensuring they meet our operational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure procurement processes align with project timelines and budgets.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary to address issues.
Keep abreast of market trends and legislative developments in procurement, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide training and guidance to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Prepare and present procurement reports to management, showcasing cost savings, supplier performance, and other key metrics.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
A degree in procurement, preferably in Engineering background, or a related field in Engineering.
Significant experience in procurement, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
Strong negotiation skills and a track record of securing advantageous contracts.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and market trends.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of procurement management software and tools.
