The Server Administrator will be responsible for managing and administering Windows Server environments, configuring hardware, and deploying virtual machines (VMs). The role includes maintaining VMware environments, performing server maintenance, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks and deployment for Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 using VMware images.
• Support monthly server patching (some automated) and distribute server responsibilities across team members.
• Troubleshoot server issues, health checks, and ticket escalations.
• Install and configure ESXi servers (versions 6.5, 6.7, 7.0) and manage vCenter administration.
• Contribute to projects involving cloud and virtualization technologies (VMware).
• Participate in weekend maintenance activities (e.g., Windows patching, project migrations) with compensatory time-off provided.
• Provide on-call/standby support on a rotational basis for after-hours alerts and issue escalations.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, including server OS hardening, AV threat detection, and remediation.
• Work with VXRAIL/Hyperconverged infrastructure technologies and DELL Chassis/Blade platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix and other HCI products is an advantage.
• Develop scripts using PowerShell and YAML/Ansible for automating routine tasks and generating reports.
• Propose and implement improvements to infrastructure and operations.

• 7–10 years of experience in server administration and deployment.
• Proficient in Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Strong expertise in VMware environments, including ESXi server installation and vCenter administration.
• Familiarity with backup, monitoring, and antivirus tools.
• Experience with VXRAIL/Hyperconverged technologies and DELL Chassis/Blade platforms.
• Knowledge of Nutanix or similar HCI products (preferred).
• Understanding of NSX-T architecture and related experience.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and YAML/Ansible automation.
• This role may require weekend work for server maintenance or project migrations (with compensatory time-off).
• On-call/standby support is shared among team members and rotated every 2–3 weeks.
